MICHAEL
DIETZ
Originally
from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Michael attended Penn State where
he majored in theater and minored in marketing. He then moved
to Los Angeles where he spent the next seven years as a contract
player on three
different
soap operas before moving into producing.
As a producer, Michael has developed and sold numerous projects to networks. Among
them, a scripted show titled “Bogeyman” to
NBC, a reality show titled "Dirty Town" to A&E and another reality show called “The Deprogrammer” to
Court TV. Michael's
strengths lie in the ability to find unique concepts and
bring them to life. Some of the other shows he has
developed include “NV”,
a show centering on five Napa Valley vineyards and “Dirty Laundry”, a game show that takes place in Laundry Mats. Most
recently, Michael has optioned three different
reality shows to FOX Productions, Sony Studios and Pie Town Productions.
Michael recently finished working as co-executive producer for a Tru Tv show titled "Steve O's Killer Karaoke" and as a Show Runner for a Travel Channel show called, "Scream If You Know The Answer." In addition, he has worked as a Supervising producer for NBC's "Minute To Win It" as well as Discovery's "One Man Army". Other shows he has worked on include "Big Brother" for CBS, "Great American Road Trip" for NBC, "Chefs For City" for Food Network, and many others. As
a film producer, Michael produced the feature film “Born” that
was released by Lionsgate.
Michael also created
and developed the board game "BubbleBrain" that
has won eight awards including Toy Of The Year. Most recently, he has sold
his second game “Life's a Pitch” that is now
out and sold across the United States.
