MICHAEL
DIETZ
Originally
from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Michael attended Penn State where
he majored in theater and minored in marketing. He then moved
to Los Angeles where he spent the next seven years as a contract
player on three
different
soap operas before moving into producing.
In production, Michael started out on “Fear Factor” as
a talent scout/producer. He most recently finished working
as a consulting producer for NBC's "MINUTE TO WIN IT" and
as a producer for season 2 of the Food Network show, "CHEFS
vs CITY".
He has also worked as a producer
for “BIG BROTHER”, "GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP" and
as a consultant for ABC’s “Wipeout”.
Michael
has also worked in television production for many other shows
including "Don't Forget The Lyrics", "Good Morning
America", Mama’s Boys and “I survived a Japanese
Gameshow.” As
a film producer, Michael produced the feature film “Born” that
was released by Lionsgate.
Michael
has developed and sold numerous projects to networks. Among
them, a scripted show titled “Bogeyman” to
NBC and a reality show called “The Deprogrammer” to
Court TV. Michael's
strengths lie in the ability to find unique concepts and
bring them to life. Some of the other shows he has
developed include “NV”,
a show centering on five Napa Valley vineyards; and “Diamond
In The Rough”, a reality show where Dustin Diamond
opens a talent management company with ex-child stars. Most
recently, Lucky Butterfly Productions has optioned two different
reality shows, one to FOX Productions and
one to Sony Studios.
In addition, Michael also created
and developed the board game "BubbleBrain" that
has won eight awards including Toy Of The Year. The game
is sold nationwide
in retail stores and online. Most recently, he has sold
his second game “Life's a Pitch” that is now
out and sold across the United States.
